Question 1

What is Blueberry Shake?

Accepted Answer

A free online PDF editor that does the everyday PDF jobs (editing text, converting to Word, filling and signing forms, merging, splitting, compressing, redacting, adding page numbers and saving pages as pictures) and can also edit scanned documents. It runs in the browser and never uploads files.

Question 2

Can Blueberry Shake replace an everyday PDF tool?

Accepted Answer

For most jobs, yes: edit text, convert PDF to Word, fill and sign, merge, split, compress, organize and rotate pages, redact, add page numbers and save pages as JPG or PNG. Several documents can be open at once in tabs.

Question 3

Is Blueberry Shake reliable for important documents?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Saving as PDF starts from the original file and replaces only what was changed, so everything that wasn't touched keeps the original file's own text, fonts and images. A file saved with no edits comes back byte for byte identical, and the same file always gives the same result.

Question 4

How is it different from editors that add a text box?

Accepted Answer

When a PDF is opened, every page is rebuilt into its real parts: paragraphs, tables, pictures and shapes. So the paragraph itself is edited and rewraps in the same font, instead of a new text box being laid over the old words.

Question 5

Are my files uploaded?

Accepted Answer

No. Documents are opened, edited and saved on your own device, inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.

Question 6

Can I edit a scanned PDF?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A scan is rebuilt into real text, tables, pictures and shapes. For scans with a hidden OCR layer, turn on "Open as a scanned document" to rebuild them from the page images.

Question 7

Which formats can Blueberry Shake open and save?

Accepted Answer

It opens PDFs and images (PNG, JPG) and saves PDF, Word (DOCX), HTML, and pages as PNG or JPG.

Question 8

Is Blueberry Shake free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is free to use, with no account, no watermark, no page limit and no paywall at download.
